Becoming a Motivational Leader….

 Create a Big Vision
To become a motivational leader, you start with motivating yourself. You motivate yourself with a big vision, and as you move progressively toward its realization, you motivate and enthuse others to work with you to fulfill that vision.

Set High Standards
You exhibit absolute honesty and integrity with everyone in everything you do. You are the kind of person others admire and respect and want to be like. You set a standard that others aspire to. You live in truth with yourself and others so that they feel confident giving you their support and their commitment.

Face Your Fears
You demonstrate courage in everything you do by facing doubts and uncertainties and moving forward regardless. You put up a good front even when you feel anxious about the outcome. You don’t burden others with your fears and misgivings. You keep them to yourself. You constantly push yourself out of your comfort zone and in the direction of your goals. And no matter how bleak the situation might appear, you keep on keeping on with a smile.

Be Realistic About Your Situation
You are intensely realistic. You refuse to engage in mental games or self-delusion. You encourage others to be realistic and objective about their situations as well. You encourage them to realize and appreciate that there is a price to pay for everything they want. They have weaknesses that they will have to overcome, and they have standards that they will have to meet, if they want to survive and thrive in a competitive market.

Accept Responsibility
You accept complete responsibility for results. You refuse to make excuses or blame others or hold grudges against people who you feel may have wronged you. You say, "If it’s to be, it’s up to me." You repeat over and over the words, "I am responsible. I am responsible. I am responsible."

Take Vigorous Action
Finally, you take action. You know that all mental preparation and character building is merely a prelude to action. It’s not what you say but what you do that counts. The mark of the true leader is that he or she leads the action. He or she is willing to go first. He or she sets the example and acts as the role model. He or she does what he or she expects others to do.

Strive For Excellence
You become a motivational leader by motivating yourself. And you motivate yourself by striving toward excellence, by committing yourself to becoming everything you are capable of becoming. You motivate yourself by throwing your whole heart into doing your job in an excellent fashion. You motivate yourself and others by continually looking for ways to help others to improve their lives and achieve their goals. You become a motivational leader by becoming the kind of person others want to get behind and support in every way.

Your main job is to take complete control of your personal evolution and become a leader in every area of your life. You could ask for nothing more, and you should settle for nothing less.

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do immediately to put these ideas into action.

First, see yourself as an outstanding person, parent, coworker and leader in everything you do. Pattern your behavior after the very best people you know. Set high standards and refuse to compromise them.

Second, be clear about your goals and priorities and then take action continually forward. Develop a sense of urgency. Keep moving forward and you’ll automatically keep yourself and others motivated.

The Golden Hour

You become what you think about most of the time. And the most important part of each day is what you think about at the beginning of that day.

Start Your Day Right
Take 30 minutes each morning to sit quietly and to reflect on your goals. You’ll find when you read the biographies and autobiographies of successful men and women that almost everyone of them began their upward trajectory to success when they begin getting up early in the morning and spending time with themselves.

Feed Your Mind With Positive Ideas
This is called the Golden Hour. The first hour sets the tone for the day. The things that you do in the first hour prepare your mind and set you up for the entire day. During the first thirty to sixty minutes, take time to think and review your plans for the future.

Use Your Quiet Time Effectively
Here are four things that you can do during that quiet time in the morning. Number one is to review your plans for accomplishing your goals and change your plans if necessary.

Number two is think of better ways to accomplish your goals. As an exercise, assume that the way you’re going about it is totally wrong and imagine going about it totally differently. What would you do different from what you’re doing right now?

Number three, reflect on the valuable lessons that you have learned and are learning as you move toward your goals.

What To know why my past “Eat That Frog” attendees get what they want, try my live 1 day training workshop www.eatthatfrog.com.au/events
Practice Daily Visualization
Number four, calmly visualize your goal as a reality. Close your eyes, relax, smile, and see your goal as though it were already a reality. Rewrite your major goals everyday in the present tense. Rewrite them as though they already existed. Write "I earn X dollars." "I have a net worth of X." "I weigh a certain number of pounds." This exercise of writing and rewriting your goals everyday is one of the most powerful you will ever learn.

Fasten Your Seatbelt
Your life will start to take off at such a speed that you’ll have to put on your seatbelt. Remember, the starting point for achieving financial success is the development of an attitude of unshakable confidence in yourself and in your ability to reach your goals. Everything we’ve talked about is a way of building up and developing your belief system until you finally reach the point where you are absolutely convinced that nothing can stop you from achieving what you set out to achieve.

Everything Counts
No one starts out with this kind of an attitude, but you can develop it using the law of accumulation. Everything counts. No efforts are ever lost. Every extraordinary accomplishment in the result of thousands of ordinary accomplishments that no one recognizes or appreciates. The greatest challenge of all is for you to concentrate your thinking single-mindedly on your goal and by the law of attraction, you will, you must inevitably draw into your life the people, circumstances and opportunities you need to achieve your goals.

Become A Living Magnet
Once you’ve mastered yourself and your thinking, you will become a living magnet for ideas and opportunities to become wealthy. It’s worked for me and for every successful person I know. It will work for you if you’ll begin today, now, this very minute, to think and talk about your dreams and goals as though they were already a reality. When you change your thinking, you will change your life. You will put yourself firmly on the road to financial independence.

Action Exercises
Now, here are two things you can do every single day to keep your mind focused on your financial goals:

First, get up every morning a little bit earlier and plan your day in advance. Take some time to think about your goals and how you can best achieve them. This sets the tone for the whole day.

Second, reflect on the valuable lessons you are learning each day as you work toward your goals. Be prepared to correct your course and adjust your actions. Be absolutely convinced that you are moving rapidly toward your goals, no matter what happens temporarily on the outside. Just hang in there!

Discover The Secrets To Hypnosis…

For too long hypnosis has been misunderstood by the general public and if you don’t know much about a topic it’s easy to be suspicious.

In the past some people assumed hypnosis was akin to a carnival side show, others consider it mystic mumbo jumbo or ‘mind control.’

Hypnosis is easy to learn (self hypnosis) and experience and has been an approved therapy / technique by the AMA since the end of WW11.

So, let’s look beyond the misperceptions, the truth is far more interesting and helpful.

Your Mind- The Most Powerful Tool You Possess….
There are potentially huge benefits for those who use hypnosis as part of everyday life. When you understand hypnosis you start to see its potential to improve your life and performance in the hysical, emotional and intellectual areas of your life.

Are You In Control Of Yourself In Hypnosis…. and What Is Hypnosis Really Like?

Hypnosis is a normal, naturally occurring state of focused concentration or attention. This means that virtually every person has the natural capacity to go into hypnosis with the accompanying heightened state of awareness.

Hypnosis is extremely comfortable and relaxing, just like those moments before you fall asleep and as you start to wake in the morning. You feel very relaxed, yet your mind is highly focused and aware. This in itself is very beneficial; particularly for those suffering with stress and anxiety issues, as it relaxes refreshes and invigorates the mind and body.

We all go in and out of different levels of consciousness all day. Daydreaming, reading, driving are all examples of everyday tasks when we may enter a light state of hypnosis.

Hypnosis is unique as it is a technique for self-change.The client is always in charge of where the hypnosis sessions go and as the hypnotherapist I go at their speed and respond to their needs and expectations. Hypnosis will give you more control in your own life because of what it enables you to do.

How Can I Be So Sure?
Over the last 15 years I’ve seen all kinds of people, all ages and from all backgrounds turn their lives around with the help of hypnosis as it improves your confidence and control over how you live your life.

When I first used hypnosis to help someone to lessen pain in an arthritic arm it was an incredible feeling.

When I help end lifelong phobias quickly and comfortably or help alcoholics regain control over their lives or a bulimic teenager or overweight clients start to live a healthy lifestyle and regain control over their eating habits and join mainstream life again I am constantly amazed at the abilities of my clients using hypnosis.

Why Should You Or Your Friends Try Hypnosis…?
Every day, ordinary, normal people use hypnosis all the time.
Athletes routinely use it to visualize themselves winning the race and leading business people use it to help themselves land that major deal, feeling calm, confident and in control.

Hypnosis is the way to learn new responses and ways of behaving or reacting.
Its’ side effects are purely positive – one expectant mother I worked with to feel relaxed during child birth later reported that she was also more relaxed when flying!

The benefits ripple through all parts of your life not just the area you want to work on.

Why Do People Come To Me For Hypnosis…?
I see clients for so many reasons – Here’s a list of just a few.
  • Weight control
  • Stop smoking
  • Pain control
  • Self confidence
  • Insomnia
  • Stress
  • Health issues
  • Relationship issues
  • Sports / Business performance
  • Motivation
  • Emotional issues
  • Panic attacks
  • Phobias and fears
  • Self doubt
  • Labour and Childbirth
  • Children’s self esteem problems
  • Anorexia / Bulimia
  • Negative habits
Hypnotherapy is a well recognized technique to help you take back control of your life by changing your habits, reactions and responses to various situations and emotions.

Why not give yourself a treat and experience it soon.

PS – How Hypnosis Helped Me….

I have practiced hypnosis for the past 15 years in hospitals and in private practice.

I have also experienced hypnosis to help me overcome certain problem areas which stopped me feeling the best about myself and hindered me achieving what I wanted and needed.

For example-
I used to be shy. Thanks to hypnosis I can now talk to hundreds of people at a time and can approach anybody calmly and confidently.

I used to have poor concentration and procrastinate I can now instantly motivate myself.

I used to find physical work outs and exercise exhausting but because of hypnosis I am now in the best shape of my life.

Now, if ever I have a difficult call or conversation coming up, something I may naturally feel fearful or uncomfortable with (you know the kind of thing) I use self hypnosis and rehearse the upcoming situation feeling confident with myself and remaining calm.

In this way I habitually set my own emotional ‘blue prints’ for up coming situations.

A common misperception is that hypnosis is all about ‘mind control.’ However, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

So, let me answer some of the most common questions about hypnosis

“Eat That Frog” Past Attendee ” Stephen Deadman”

For me , it all started when I looked at my financial situation….I noted how many hours I had to work and travel to and from work and did not like what I found.

Decision came time – grow old, have a frugal and financially unsafe retirement and have a sense of disappointment about what I never did in life OR change things around.

Why wasn’t what I was currently doing getting me what I needed my life to be?   The answer was that I had not discovered the power of LEVERAGE. For years I had been working to achieve someone else’s dreams, not mine….

I now have my own part-time business, being fairly rewarded for my own efforts – go that extra step and you reap the reward – my own business means I am working to achieve my dreams not someone else’s!.

I can share this opportunity of leverage with you – the source of wealth of the world’s most successful people.

My business is endorsed by Mr Donald Trump who sourced his wealth through leverage – I’ll let him tell you about my business at www.sdeadman.acnrep.com

To be successful you must work on personal development and the “Eat that Frog” training workshop was one of the best one day courses I have attended.

This course actually shows you a process to get your life priorities clear, to plan your day based on achieving those priorities.

The practical nature of the course means you walk away with a tool kit to enable you to focus on the key result areas of your life.

I highly recommend this course, I highly respect the integrity and skills of the presenter, Mr Mark Garbelotto.

Best wishes for your success

Too Much to Do, Too Little Time…

The most common form of stress that we experience is the feeling of being overwhelmed with far too much to do and having too little time to do it in. In fact, "time poverty" is the biggest single problem facing most managers in Australia  today. We simply do not have enough time to fulfill all our responsibilities. Because of budget limitations, staff cutbacks, downsizing, and competitive pressures, individual managers are forced to take on more and more work, all of which appears to be indispensable to the smooth functioning of our company or department.

Become an Expert
The solution to this problem of work overload is for you to become an expert on time management. There is probably no other skill that you can learn that will give you a "bigger bang for the buck" than to become extremely knowledgeable and experienced in using time management practices.

Be Open to New Ideas
The most foolish manager of all is either the manager who feels that he has no time to learn about time management or, even worse, the manager who, while being overwhelmed with work, feels that he already knows all that he needs to know about the subject.

"Learn the Secrets to Getting More Done in Less Time"

Never Stop Learning
The fact is that you can study time management and take time management courses for your entire business life and you will still never learn everything you need to know to get the most out of yourself while doing your job in the most efficient way.

The Keys to Time Management
The two indispensable keys to time management are:1) the ability to set priorities; and 2) the ability to concentrate single-mindedly on one thing at a time. Since there is never enough time to do everything that needs to be done, you must be continually setting priorities on your activities. Perhaps the very best question that you can memorize and repeat, over and over, is, "what is the most valuable use of my time right now?"

The Best Question of All
This question, "what is the most valuable use of my time right now?" will do more to keep you on track, hour by hour, than any other single question in the list of time management strategies.

The natural tendency for all of us is to major in minors and to give in to the temptation to clear up small things first. After all, small things are easier and they are often more fun than the big, important things that represent the most valuable use of your time.

Start With Your Top Tasks
However, the self-discipline of organizing your work and focusing on your highest value tasks is the starting point of getting your time under control and lowering your stress levels.

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do immediately to get your time under control.

First, make a decision today to become an expert on time management. Read the books, listen to the audio programs, and take a time management course. Then, practice, practice, practice every day until you master time management skills.

Second, set clear priorities on your work each day, before you begin. Then, discipline yourself to start on your most important task and stay at that until it is complete. This will relieve much of your stress immediately.

Three Questions for Lifelong Happiness

You already have everything you need to create a wonderful life for yourself. You know everything you need to know to be your own best friend, a gentle guide, a teacher and a helper to yourself so you can be truly happy and fulfilled.

You can learn how to become your own psychotherapist for life, and how to resolve the difficulties that stand between you and personal joy.

Be Honest With Yourself
The starting point of becoming your own best friend is for you to be perfectly honest with yourself and your relationships. Refuse to practice self-delusion or hope for the best. For example, when something is making you unhappy, for any reason, the situation will tend to get worse rather than better. So avoid the temptation to engage in denial, to pretend that nothing is wrong, to wish and hope and pray that, whatever it is, it will go away and you won’t have to do anything. The fact is that it probably will get worse before it gets better and that ultimately you will need to face the situation and do something about it.

Deal With Your Problem at a Higher Level
There’s an old saying that you can’t solve a problem on the level that you meet it. This means that wrestling with a persistent problem is often fruitless and frustrating. For example, if two people who are in a relationship together are constantly fighting and negotiating and looking for some way to resolve their difficulties, they may be attempting to solve the problem on the wrong level. Dealing with the problem on a higher level, those people would ask the question, "In terms of being happy, is this the right relationship for us in the first place?"

Find the Right Job For You
Many people work very hard and experience considerable frustration trying to do a particular job. However, in terms of their own happiness, the right answer might be to do something else, or to do what they’re doing in a different place, or to do it with different people-or all three. Here are a few questions for you to answer in this arena of happiness. Write them down at the top of a sheet of paper, and then write as many answers to each one as you possibly can.

What Would It Take?
The first question is: "What would it take for me to be perfectly happy?" Write down every single thing that you can imagine would be in your life if you were perfectly happy at this very moment. Write down things such as health, happiness, prosperity, loving relationships, inner peace, travel, car, clothes, homes, money, and so on. Let your mind run freely. Imagine that you have no limitations at all.

What is Holding You Back?
The second question is a little tougher. Write down at the top of a page this question: "In what situations in my life, and with whom, am I not perfectly happy?" Force yourself to think about every part of your day, from morning to night, and write down every element that makes you unhappy or dissatisfied in any way. Remember, proper diagnosis is half the cure. Identifying the unsatisfactory situations is the first step to resolving them.

Determine Your Happiest Moment
The third question will give you some important guidelines. Write down at the top of a sheet of paper these words: "In looking over my life, where and when have I been the happiest? Where was I, with whom was I, and what was I doing?"

Decide What to Do
Once you have the answers to those questions, think about what you can do, starting immediately, to begin creating the kind of life that you dream of. It may take you a week, a month, or a year, but that doesn’t matter. Every single thing you do that moves you closer to your ideal vision will be rewarding in itself. You’ll become a more positive and optimistic person. You’ll feel more confident and more in charge of your life, and you’ll achieve true peace of mind.

Action Exercises
Here are three steps you can take immediately to put these ideas into action.

First, examine your business and personal relationships carefully. Is there any situation you wouldn’t get into again if you had it to do over?

Second, make a list of every single thing in your life that would make you happy and then think about what you could do to begin achieving them.

Third, allow yourself to dream and fantasize about your ideal life, what it would look like and feel like, and then do something every day to make it a reality.

Developing A Vision For Your Future

 What Only Leaders Can Do
The one quality that all leaders have in common is that they have a clear and exciting vision for the future. This is something that only the leader can do. Only the leader can think about the future and plan for the future each day.

Develop A Clear Vision
Excellent leaders take the time to think through and develop a clear picture of where they want the organization to be in one, three and five years. Leaders have the ability to communicate this vision in such a way that others "buy in" and eventually see the vision as belonging to them.

How to Motivate People
It is the vision of the future possibilities, of what can be, that arouses emotion and motivates people to give of their best. The most powerful vision is always qualitative, aimed at and described in terms of values and mission rather than quantitative, described in terms of money. Of course, money is important, but the decision and commitment to "be the best in the business" is far more exciting.

To encourage others, to instill confidence in them, to help them to perform at their best requires first of all that you lead by example.

Be A Great Team Player
A study at Stanford Business School examined the qualities that companies look for in promoting young managers toward senior executive positions, especially the position of Chief Executive Officer. The study concluded that there were two important qualities required for great success in leadership. The first is the ability to put together a team and function as a good team player. Since all work is ultimately done by teams, and the managers’ output is the output of the team, the ability to select team members, set objectives, delegate responsibility and finally, get the job done, was central to success in management.

Keep Your Cool
The second quality required for rapid promotion was found to be the ability to function well under pressure, and especially in a crisis. Keeping your cool in a crisis means to practice patience and self-control under difficult or disappointing circumstances.

Everyone Is Watching
The character and quality of a leader is often demonstrated in these critical moments under fire, when everyone is watching, observing and privately taking notes. As Rudyard Kipling once said, "If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, then the world is yours and all that’s in it".

Your job as a leader is to have a clear vision of where you want to go and then to keep your cool when things go wrong, as they surely will.

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do immediately to put these ideas into action.

First, project forward 3-5 years and imagine your ideal future vision. What does it look like? What steps can you take immediately to begin turning your future vision into your current reality?

Second, resolve in advance that, no matter what happens, you will remain calm and cool. You will not become upset or angry. You will take a deep breath and focus on the solution rather than on the problem.

Past “Eat That Frog” Attendee Part 2….

"You Parodies" Degen Agnew…

So, I got back from the Christmas break, having made a decision… first week back at work, I handed in my notice of resignation – my boss almost fell off her chair!!

I felt bloody marvellous (as you do when you’re pumped about doing something exciting for yourself). So I told a few people what I’d done. The reactions were predictable & quite funny; all my colleagues showed concern, saying "What will you do now?". Past colleagues had a similar reaction.

When I told Mark, he congratulated me, saying it was "About time!!".

With that, I decided that the corporate market would be a perfect audience for musical parodies. As corporate functions have a habit of being stuffy (& even boring), I figured that someone livening up these events would provide welcome comedy relief for the attendees. It would also, I decided, help them remember both the event & what it was about.

To that end, I began sourcing corporate speakers, event organisers, venue managers, etc.

Also, in March, my 2nd album, titled "Why Not Try These?", went live on iTunes. Within a week, it sold into America – gotta love that!!

Anyhoo, stay tuned for the next installment, when more developments will be revealed… some more exciting stuff to come!!!

Signing off with antici…
